One seat or two?
I hope this section is where this question goes.
Is it mandatory to have a passenger seat? I am thinking of removing the passenger seat and building a "cabinet" in it's place to hold a computer and printer along with misc other items.
Thanks.

no, there are no rules concerning passenger seats, if it's a company truck though, you will need permission to remove it, but I'm sure you know that

We have a company driver who removed his passenger seat and put a refrigerator in it's place.

I took the seat out myself, and put down hardwood flooring, a big fridge, microwave, flatscreen etc. I had DOT look at it, and say "nice" but nobody bothered me for not having a passanger seat...

A "big fridge? A T.V.? You didn't place anything in the way of your view out that window did you? Apparently not if DOT didn't object.

One thing to keep in mind; if you remove a seat from your cab, you will be giving up an important "asset"!!
