Do you know how hard it is to get a phone number for the Texas State Police? I am in another state--I cant call 911

I spent hours on the internet at tx dot and all the info is for motor carriers (businesses)

I made several long distance phone calls to the Texas Department of Transportation and got a merry-go-round of recorded menus and wasted a long time on hold.

I finally called a City Hall and was shuffled thru 3 more agencies and was told to go to the tax assessors office and pay $5 for a one time trip permit.

I'll let you know if I go to jail for dragging this trailer home
This isn't an appropriate reason to call 911 anyway. They'd likely tell you that 911 is for emergencies only and hang up. Don't call 911 unless you're experiencing a life, limb, or eyesight emergency
