The ticket for that in Mo. was 250.00 and NO I did not have to bobtail to the courthouse and pay cash. They give you 30 days to mail it in and it does not go on your record.

Back when I was running hopper bottom, I had situations where I had to meet a truck at a scalehouse so we could transfer product from one trailer to another, because they wouldn't let the truck leave overweight.

Wrightstown?

Dubuque/Dickeyville. They were notorious for shutting down hopper bottoms for being overweight.

I ended up talking to a TMC driver while waiting at Lowe's and he helped me take my tarps off and roll them up. We got to talking and he said that ever since the son took over TMC they have become very cheap. I can't remember what brokerage firm they took over but I think it was CH. He said they give all the good paying loads to CH, broker them out then give the left overs to their drivers. He said he used to make $1.35 per mile and now everyone is making about $.83 per mile.

So here I am on the outskirts of Denver and relaxing for the rest of the day then who knows where!!

Well maybe it's just me but I found Petro to be more consistant towards being a decent truckstop than the other ones ??? But that may change now that TA owns them ?? I allmost leased to TMC years ago until they called me up n told me that I'd haft to cut my hair off !!!! ??? Told them I was just in your office last week talking to you face to face so why did'nt you say anything then ??? Needless to say the hair stayed and they did'nt !!! The Bossellmans truckstop there in Denver still pay to park ??? Or are you out there at that old 76 on the west side (if it's still there???)???

I was in a Bosselman the other day and it was a dump also so I left and went down the street to a Pilot.

I've also been in a Flying J but don't remember which one and the place was spotless. Everything was perfect both inside and out. I was eating at the counter and the manager was walking around asking everyone if everything was OK. I asked if he was in charge of the whole place and he said yes and I gave him a compliment.

I'm at the T/A in Commerce City right now and not a bad place. They must have a lot of trouble here maybe? There are cars and pickup trucks with cameras mounted in the roofs that patrol the lot.

I bought one of those Blue Tooth headsets yesterday so I don't have to hold the phone and drive at the same time. Seems like the only time I get a phone call is when I'm in the crap and need both hands to drive. We'll see how it works out. I tried one of those ear things and there was NO volume at all.

The TA in Commerce City ??? That must be the old 76 ??? I seem to remember that name Commerce City. I gotta go the same route on the phone after I get back there full time. I guess they have those for Nextell Phones as well ??

All the phones now support Blue Tooth. It's pretty cool. You leave the phone in it's holder hooked onto the visor. I hung my headset on a hook. When the phone rings I put the headset on with one hand then push the button on the side to answer. I can turn the volume up so loud that it's way too much for me and my hearing isn't that great. When your done with the call you push the button on the side again and it disconnects.

Once again, you're wrong. Not all phones support Bluetooth.

Hey Steve, which headset did you get and how much? I've been using the earbuds for a while that came with the phone. I'd rather have an headset though I don't want one of those Bluetooth that stick in the ear on one side.
