I use to teach the advanced rider safety program like jumping over 2x4's and how to fall down. The one thing I impressed upon them was that you really have to survive the learning experience by those close calls. Your mother can tell you over and over that you'll get burned but until you do, it just doesn't become automatic. And, by the way ladies. You had the highest percentage passing rate in all motorcycle classes. Beginner, intermediate and advanced. Why you ask? Because you followed directions. tootie |
I only did it for one class while my buddy was in the hospital. He actually didn't follow his own teachings when a car pulled out in front of him. He put the bike into a sideways skip but didn't lay it down and push it away. He stayed with the bike and upright and his leg was crushed. I was right behind him. He lost the the leg. He got up and started walking around and didn't stop laughing. We had to hold him down on the ground. He was delirious. It was really weird.

Nah...he didn't do any of those things, he just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express...that's all :D
Me however....I invented the internet. My next plan is to end global warming by getting everyone to turn their AC to high. |

That buddy above was the same kid when we were younger that stuck his hand in the microwave when the safety switches were on the door. He left it in for like 20 seconds and nothing happened. A minute later it started to hurt then he was screaming and crying. We all ran home. Didn't see him for many years after that. I guess he almost lost his hand and thanked us all for running away. Then we hooked up again. |

I'm sitting in the T/A in Albert Lea Minnesota and this has to be the biggest store I've ever seen. You can do your Christmas shopping right here for your whole family. This must be truck drivers heaven. Package after package of salami, pepperoni, beef jerky, cheese, bacon, smoked this, smoked that and all made locally plus one of those ice cream places that chops up what ever you want into the ice cream!!
