Does that mean they went in with a full tank? Was that Imperial gallons because it makes a difference. If it's Canadian fuel you need to watch out because unless you do the conversion you can overfill your tanks then customs takes your Smear stickers away and makes you drive around the Molson plant until your 1/2 American empty. I think I read that some place. And also, I've been averaging about $1.70 per mile. |

I have never had one on any of my trucks and never missed having it. As far as breaking in, with one of those, its easier than having the key to the truck. |
You can have bullet proof glass custom made and installed but would be very expensive.
Bullet proof glass can withstand someone trying to smash your window. Another interesting fact about bullet proof glass is that it's not really bullet proof. If your a good shot and can place a second shot in the same place as the first it will penetrate. Bullets do not bounce off. They penetrate the first layer which absorbers most of the energy then trapped by a second layer. Lexan is the solution if you want shatter proof windows for your truck. Most glass places can get and install this. Firemen are not able to shatter Lexan with a sledge hammer. Windows on race cars are also made of Lexan. I'm going to look into this. |

Pull out the "filler strip", stick a screwdriver between the glass and the gasket, pry a little and the whole glass will come right out. |
Steve...are you trolling? Those little windows just pop out.
|
I was speaking of mine, they are one piece.
|
I have a wire mesh (heat treated hardened steel) over the inside of mine,..even if they pop it out,..they'll still have to contend with the mesh.
I also have those wing windows,..the thing with those is that its really obvious when a crook is breaking into your truck by going through the wing windows. Any time you can make it so its harder than the rest,...they will usually leave you truck alone and move to the next one. Hmmm, I think I'll break into this truck,....first it says Doghouse on the side,....and there's wire mesh covering the curb window,.....I know what your thinking punk,......is that there to keep a criminal out,.....or a big a$$ dog in,....I think I'll move on to the next truck,..this one is too hard. |
