That's because it doesn't take long to know everything about running your own truck.

It cost a $1 a pound to lay those 300 lb. women.

Well I may pizz a few of you off....but here goes.

If you dont like it DONT click on the thread and read it

Some of us on here have become pretty good friends and we just happen to post on this thread....so what?? :D

I am glad you are doing well Rev, but not everyone wants to do the same kind of work you are. Everyone knows bedbuggers make good money and most everyone know flatbedders make more than the van guys. Just because the rates are not in line with what you think they should be.....well you dont pull flats so how can you know what the rates should be??

And I dont know anyone on here that is a lease operator... :? but if they are so what?? If they are a lease operator and making money then good for them!!

When I drove for Stevens,..they would send us into Tropicana with tanks less than 1/4 full. I came out of there at 79,990, on an 1/8 tank of fuel going to Cali., that was not a fun trip. Every 100 miles,...stop for fuel.

I agree tootie,...if ya don't like it,...read another thread. There is enough information sprinkled through this thread to convey Steve's trip for desk to own authority experience,.....and some friendly (and not so friendly) banter added in as well.

Yes, Arrow used to do that to us for picking up lumber. They would send us a QC message to go in with 1/2 tanks....we ALWAYS filled up then went in. :P No way did we want to buy fuel every couple hundred miles!!
