Default IFTA Question

Hello everyone! Just had a quick question.

If we had multiple owner operators under our MC #, and we filed one IFTA per quarter, how would we go about finding out what truck got money back or who had to pay for that quarter?

When I do each truck separately, it does not equal to the amount we paid or got back from the IFTA filing.

I hope my question makes sense.

I don't know how you are doing your calculations, but if you are interested using owner operators you could have them get their own Ifta account or use trucking software to do each truck calculations. If the software doesn't have the rates, you could use a spreadsheet. There are also services that will do the calculations for you.

Hello Gman,

I file the IFTA through our state. I have an excel spreadsheet I can use, but my question is, since I'm filing through the state, there is no way to break it down to show how each truck is doing. I was curious if I could find out how much each truck is doing separately.
