I have been trying to collect from a broker who just don't want to pay. My attorney wants a huge down payment and my margins are so tight because I haven't been paid. Please give me some suggestions, I need help.

Have you looked into selling their debt to a collector? If they are refusing to pay you, that may be a way to go. A lot of collection agencies will only charge you a percentage of the money recovered and as collections is their business, they will be a lot more aggressive than you may have time to be.
