So I've had this truck for a little while and lately I've been noticing that there is some play in the steering. It seems like when I'm making some turns, whether it's an actual turn or a curve in the road, that I'm having to turn the wheel excessively. Feels like I'm making too sharp of a turn sometimes. Sometimes it'll just shoot to the left and I believe it's pulling to the right eventhough I had a 3 axle alignment done about 3-4 wks ago at a TA. I'm not really sure what the problem is and I'd like to have some idea of what it most likely is before I put it in the shop. Need an idea of what it's going to cost to get it fixed. I'm thinking it's the gear box though there doesn't seem to be any play from the rod to the box. No excessive wear on any of the tires and the clutch is fine- no issues there. air bags are fine also. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

It sounds like it might be your drag link. I would also check your tie rods, but if it suddenly pulls to one side, that sounds like the drag link. You can easily check it for play. If there is any play whatsoever, it should be replaced.
