When CAT first announced the decision to build trucks...I do believe they stated then, that OTR trucks would be sold only overseas...and Vocational would only be sold here in the states. Maybe Canada and Mexico will qualify as "overseas" and we will see those OTR trucks on our highways. I believe CAT also said that the trucks themselves were going to be based on the ITH body style.

My friend Pat just got back from a trip down to Brazil and he saw several of the Cat road trucks on a sales lot in Manzanares (sp?) Brazil..........At least......he said they were CAT road trucks. Pat is a dyed in the wool Mack man. But he liked the looks of those trucks with the unibody sleepers.
none of the ugly things in New Zealand yet ,and if they otr trucks as you call them and anything like the macks over here all they will do is keep the workshops busy, kenworths here for the hard stuff jappers for the rest lol

They are out. Cant find any info. on prices. But they do have CAT motors.
The "cat" engine looks very similair to the MaxxForce engines from Navistar.

Thats because CAT couldn't keep up with emission standards, but Navistar could without any extra fluids or afterburners.
