Older Reefers in CA - Anyone know the penalty/fine for getting caught?
#1
Hey,
Looking at reefer rates CA the past few weeks. Makes it tempting to make an "outlaw" run in to grab a load. Does anyone have any info on the ramifications if you get caught? Thanks!! -scott

Either way, probably means a service failure. I'm glad to hear you're getting that business. I was afraid they wouldn't be doing much in the way of enforcement. Wasn't thrilled with the law, but if you're going to make it, enforce it.

The shipper really whined last year when i raised the rates but after saving 5 of their loads in the first 2 months they got over it. Eventually they will inspect your ARB registration at the bug checks. That will eliminate many that are still sneaking around. There are 7other states that are looking at adopting the same emission regs.
