I have a 2008 W900 that I would like to get rid of, really bad fuel economy. My friend dumped his Western Star and bought a new Cascadia, he makes about $500 more each week in his pocket. Not only is it great on fuel, but it is quiet inside the cab too. I don't know about you guys but making money right now is more important than what kind of truck I drive. All I ever owned were W900's in the past but I now I need a truck that will make me money, if you are only driving around to look cool, you are in it for the wrong reasons.

It might not be the truck so much as the engines that are in them. I talked to a fellow yesterday with a Freightliner Century and he was getting about the same mileage I am.
If you have a newer W900 with a newer motor that's all stuffed up from emission controls I don't think it's possible to get good mileage. Your battling two evils.

Freightshaker could drop all their trucks, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Your battling two evils. none of my W900's old or new ever got as good fuel mileage as my freightliners, which is why I won't ever buy another one, the T660 gets better fuel economy than a W900 areodynamics does make a difference, that guy probably had something wrong with the engine to cause it to not get good fuel economy, maybe a bad injector, or he had the wrong gear ratio, or any number of things

Maybe they will move home to the deep...deep.....way back hills......of Old Mexico!!! I saw no less than 8 set's of Mexican Immigrants loaded up and headed west by southwest today! Last year they were headed home in convoys.....Now.....just trickling that way.

That is exactly right, these old outdated style trucks are going to be a thing of the past. It is all about fuel economy now, and having the areodynamics of a brick don't help with fuel economy.

Returno a Mexico para una Feliz Natividad! Es esa época del año.
