Been doing pretty good actually. Me and my old man headed south together last trip, he had 17,000 in his box I had 42,000 on my step and we did the exact same fuel mileage. So obviously my setup is much more aerodynamic.
I did over 7 with 54,000 lbs of lumber(86,000 gross). I'll let you know when I fill up.

Against company policy. Besides I have about 450 feet of chain, where would I put it?

From what I hear places like ICT and others have absolutely no business. Trucks like that are going to go on the auction block for very cheap.
I know someone that picked up a pete with a 120" sleeper for 40k at an auction, it was only a few years old. I think it was during the last recession.

From ARI Legacy Sleepers - ARI - American Reliance Industries, Co.
What length wheelbase do I need for a custom sleeper? There are many factors affecting the wheelbase length. Our sales staff can easily walk you through the details. Remember, there are many variables to consider, however, to get a general idea review the following: Sleeper Size Extended Hood Set Back Axle 96" Sleeper 276" Wheel Base 251" Wheel Base 108" Sleeper 288" Wheel Base 263" Wheel Base 120" Sleeper 300" Wheel Base 275" Wheel Base 132" Sleeper 312" Wheel Base 287" Wheel Base 144" Sleeper 324" Wheel Base 299" Wheel Base

On the 5th page there's a t800 with a 290 inch wheelbase and 144" bunk. Take off 46" that leaves you with 98 inches. I think the T800 would be the way to go. Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow. Weight : 24,990 lbs! YIKES! Very next page a T600 with 97" sleeper 265" wheelbase looks like lots of room between the truck and trailer, and the 5th wheel is in the middle. 21,400 lbs. That would work. My Volvo weighs almost that much.
