Oh...man that's just crazy!!!Almost can't believe it.

 

I once hauled a load for $0.68/mile. Only reason I took the load was to have a place to drop the trailer without being hit with abandoning equipment. Destination was drop and hook. Did the drop and terminated my lease.

 

Unfortunately there are people taking these .80 loads just to make cash flow. They will soon drive themselves out of business, it might take a few months, but it will happen. Then as the fish in the pond thin out, the ones left should reap the rewards if this economy ever improves. Yes, there are some sweet deals on equipment now, you just have to have the cash to buy, no one is lending anymore. I guess it will become like a Mad Max society.
