Default Espar question real quick

Installation calls for a hole drilled in the tank. Were your tanks drained, removed and washed as part of the installation? Any way around that?
I'm at a company shop, I've got some time, $50/labor...I'm trying to think of anything I can get done to my truck.

lowrange...holes are NOT required to be drilled in your tanks! Whoever told you that has no idea what they are doing!

Here in Canada Thermoking services & installs Espar heaters...save yourself the headache & take it to one of their shops!

A Espar dealer did mine and they drilled a hole in my right tank on the top.

Maybe they do it different then mike, with mine they installed a valve & tied into the fuel lines...no drilling required & if I have trouble with it I can simply close the valve!
