What in the world?

I don't think this is the right time to be getting into a truck. Especially a Lease Purchase. The economy stinks and is only going to get worse. I will be surprised if it turns before June. Hopefully it will turn in March...but don't hold your breath.
Prayers are in order.

What specifically was wrong with the Columbia. I've never been in one, but how bad could it be?

They kinda/sorta suck. I spent a cumulative 5-6 months in one. one with 148K, and one with 15K miles. They will make you money though! I was hitting 7-8mpg pullung HHG, compared to 4.9-6.5 in my KW pulling the same commoditiy/trailer, but at a slightly high rate of speed!

Well, I did it, and regret it. It didn't take me long, either. There are so many reasons it didn't work out, like a greatest hits of the warnings people gave me in this thread.
-The "Market adjusted" fuel surcharge was bad. Yes, adjusted. The wrong direction. -Cheap, cheap freight. -There was never any OD loads that I was promised. -Truck kept breaking down -The available freight was well below the "1.05" min. that I was promised. Anyway, working 11-20 hrs. a day 7 days a week got me about 25 cents per hour haha. So I payed the $1k to get out of the lease, and now my otherwise perfect DAC has a small black eye. Oh well, I'd rather be sitting at home looking for a new job for free than busting my hump for that quarter an hour. "Maybe, if I work real hard today, and sleep without heat I can afford a slim jim tonight!! And let us pray..." In case anyone was still wondering, it was Anderson Trucking Service I signed up for. Thanks for coming back and letting us know how it worked out. Hopefully someone will learn from your experience.
