As an Owner Operator, whom drives my own truck, I include wages in my "Break Even Point". If my truck does not generate enough revenue to pay my wages, as well as the taxes on those wages, then my truck ran at a loss...Which means I PAID TO HAUL SOMEONE'S FREIGHT....which just pizzez me off.

Money enough to cover the truck and wages. With just a tractor, leased to a Carrier that bares a portion of the operating cost's, I'm lucky to break even at $1.28 per mile. At $1.18 per mile I am burning the phone lines ripping at dispatchers and managers. At $1.859 per mile I hold my tongue.
