He should have seen it, but in any case he should have felt something and stopped until he checked it out.

Well of course he should have seen it,......but he didn't,...now the next thing would be to hear it, smell it,or taste it,..... that didn't work either,..so now we need to move to feel it.
I'm thinking since his sight was not working at all, that the rest were not working also,....but he should have noticed some resistance at some point,......right?

Don't blame the driver. He may have just got in the country last week and obtained a CDL yesterday.

He will be a trainer at the end of the month.
