Default Any good / bad reviews about national truck ext. warranty?

hi my truck (volvo vn 670)is just inching close to 256 k miles/400,000 km and warranty is soon to run out and i get regular phone calls from the national extended warranty sales team to get their warranty, so far i have had good luck and no break downs but now i am concerned and want to get the safety net of extended warranty, so any suggestions ,opinions or reviews are welcome .... thanks.

I don't have first hand experience, but I can try to help you out.

I do know with cummins warranties, if you turn it down to 450 hp or less, the extended warranty is MUCH cheaper. Ask about that.

Find out who pays for the teardown. I saw one company that charges you up front and reimburses you if it's covered.

You are right! the extended warranty is virtually half the cost just by turning the Cummins down to 450. Won't really notice a real performance hit going from 475 to 450. You can still set the torque to a good working level.
