I have never needed someone to speak up for me if I needed more money. I just work smarter or harder and I will be rewarded with a bigger paycheck. If I worked for a union, it would not matter how smart or hard I work. My paycheck would be the same regardless of my personal efforts. When union demands become so great as to make the company where they work non-competitive, then they either close the doors or move abroad. Unions are not the only reason so many companies move out of the U.S., but is a primary reason. Another is government regulations. With all the cheap labor coming in from Mexico, things get even more complicated. I was approached yesterday by a carrier in El Paso who tried to get me to take an over-sized load down to the border for $1.25/mile. (No, that is not a misprint.) I am sure someone took the load. There are a lot of Mexican trucks running in the U.S., whether we want to recognize it or not. Some have South Texas addresses, but Mexican owners. I am sure you will find the same thing in other border states. There are a lot of Mexican trucks bringing coils up from Brownsville for $1.05/mile. You will see more of this as the Mexican trucks invade the U.S. Perhaps the Teamsters could organize them. That way, these Mexican carriers would lower productivity and have to raise their prices to pay the high union wages.

GMAN,

This is good info and advice. But first we need to get the mexians to over extend themselves with mortages, credit cards, new cars, boats, etc, etc, etc and make sure that who ever sells everything to them makes a big commision added to the amount that they borrow. Does anyone know if you can borrow a ton of money in a country like you can here and then pull hypothetical equity from a home to get a lump sum to pay it off? After paying a boat load of fees and commisions of course.

Our country seems to be in the business of giving anyone money no matter if they can pay it back or not. Then after they fail the first time raise the interest rates and do it all over so we set them up to fail.

Then unionize them so they can pay their credit and get more than they should for the quanity and quality of work produced while complaining about everything.

They already are. That's why the Gov't is trying mortgage reform. If it were just Americans they'd say too bad.

Why in the world are you all getting your socks in a knot over the Teamsters?
Because they're A PROBLEM, offering NO solution. Unions are for 'mamma's-type boys :!:

They are speaking up for the truckers, when no one else is in the ballpark.
These BIG BOYS (truckers in general) don't need anyone to speak for them, they can do it BETTER themselves! And certainly they don't need (or want) mamma to WIPE their arse :!:

...especially the ones with their own authority. -These business-oriented guys can REPRESENT themselves BETTER than any ARSE-wipper (unions et al) can :!:

Get a life.
Most of these BIG BOYS have one. -Going union is like going BACK TO MAMMA :!:

God Bless!

.....If a person is the type of person that will slack off at work they will slack off union or not, why, because this is their personality it has nothing to do with them being in a union or not.
mmmmmmm .....WHY THEN DO UNION WORKERS P-R-O-D-U-C-E 40%%%%%%%%% L-E-S-S than "the average American worker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Quote:
....... why because we are a hard working bunch and we will out pipe anyone---bar none!
My brother is a 'union worker in Vegas [SIN city]' -----(he's EMBARASSED TO ADMIT IT because I told him he was SUPPORTING drug dealers - & ORGANIZED CRIME!!!!) . He ADDMITS that his team have to work at a 'certain pace' otherwise 'they'll get in trouble' with THE UNION & other "teams."

...............FREAKING JOKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT'S THE REASON PRICES ARE S-O HIGH in the states!!!!!!!!

I shop Walmart 'cause they told the unions 'what they could do with their MEMBERS, ---I AVOID Albertsons and OTHER UNION F-R-E-A-K-S!!!!!!'

God Bless all

Default These are the Facts

Since bashing american workers seems to interest you. And your opinion of all union workers being " freaks ", then you probaly shouldn't ever use a phone, read your mail, send a package, watch a movie or television, stay in a hotel, fly on a plane, attend a trade show or ever call 911.

Like it or not... These are the facts.
