exactly Steve, in the winter we use top half of tank only, case in point got stopped in hurst, on twenty third for eighteen hours, with a accident and a winter storm it just common sense, last thing you need is to run out of fuel one it dangerous. second it is reel hard to start one of these big boys at 35 below in the winter. fueling at the beginning of each day helps with your log, you can fuel and pre trip in the same half hour saving on duty time. for IFTA we use the truck odometer, because remember, you have to match truck miles with your IFTA. both must be the same, because every mile has to be accounted for or some one thinks you are trying to cheat them of taxes
