your rigmaster has a DPF on it?

It needs to be tier 4a or something like that.

If you do the research Tier III is as good as it's going to get for APU's. This applies to all engines up to 175HP. If you have a Tier III APU then your good. All others will be phased out over a period of time just like the old trucks. They don't do this overnight.

You're correct, you don't have to worry for now. However any truck with a 2007 year engine needs a DPF equipped and tier 4 approved APU. I don't think there are any on the market right now.

No, that's not correct. Their are no Tier 4 and none planned for quit some time. All 2007 APU's are tier III and that's the state of the art. 175hp and less will remain tier III for some time.

Well, I'll be dipped. When I talked to Rigmaster they said they weren't doing it because the law is only applying to engines greater than 175 HP.

They went from Tier II to III to 4a in one year!!!

Steve it only matters in cali if you have a 2007 engine. If you don't it's irrelevant. I'm sure in the future it will matter, however there will probably be upgrade kits.

I'm sure when you bought the unit, rigmaster wasn't aware that cali was going to change the rules again.
