It depends on the deck height and how tall the tractor stands. If it is a condo, you won't be able to haul it on the step deck. If it is a mid roof or flat top, you should be able to make it work. You may need to take the top section of your stacks off. I have 10' on the bottom deck of my step deck. If someone has smaller tires, they may be able to haul something a little taller. If it is too tall for the step, then you may need to find an RGN or double drop.

Default trailer

that is what i though but i wasn't sure.the tractor has a flat top so it might not go over the hight limit.
is the weight limit of 80.000 lbs the same for a step deck as it is for a flatbed? or does'it depend on the tire size.

If it is a flat top, you should be all right on most any step deck. I would make sure to measure the highest point so that you aren't over height. The truck should not weigh more than about 20,000, if that much, so weight should not be a problem. Most states only allow 80,000 gross weight without having to get a permit. Of course your equipment should be rated for at least that much weight. Some of the hot shot type of trailers, such as Cherokee or Tarasport are usually not rated for that much weight, although both make trailers that will handle that amount of weight.

As G-Man suggests, not all step decks have the same deck height.

Measure the height of the T8 and subtract that number from 13' - 6" to determine what deck height you require.

Also consider how the truck will be loaded and who will be doing the loading. If it's loaded from a dock, the step deck may not be the same height as the dock. If you plan to use ramps, thr truck may get hung up on the trailer and who does the loading may become an issue.
