Default you can never have too many friggin wrenches

My tool box is full of garage sale wrenches
lots of snap on,williams, craftsman
I have a good collection of sledge hammers, crow bars and giant pry bars also.
Most guys who go to the sales don't need the tools a trucker needs
and most people selling stuff don't know the value of the tools

Go straight to the cellar and time and time again I will find grade 8 nuts bolts washers and sockets and tools galore.
Many times the tools are bundled and you can get some great stuff that you need
I can't tell you how many times I have looked at the corner by the garage door and found a 5 foot long pry bar or sledge un-marked
(always look there )
because no one saw it
"2 bucks?"
works every time
I have plenty of stuff now but still go a couple time a year just to stay qualified
happy hunting

So true!! No one thinks about tools until they need it. I dont lend mine and it has caused some serious arguments in my family. Mainly with the in-laws

Hmmm... that's a pretty good idea, really. Most garage sales around where I live start and stop with childrens' clothing and toys. But maybe I just don't look.

We're always misplacing the tools. You dig out the tool box, get out what you need, and, rather than leaving it there for everyone to walk by and pick out what they want, you put the tool box back. Then, you're too lazy to put the tool back where it goes so it goes somewhere it doesn't belong. Then, next time you need it, it's not in the tool box and you can't remember where you stashed it...

I think you probably CAN have too many 9/16 wrenches, though!

I need more 1/2" wrenches. That seems to be what size the bolts that most furniture is put together are. Too many of them up and walk off in my labor's pockets.

That, and 2 sets of allen wrenches.

Load it, I don't lend mine either, you never get things back it seems. Tell your in-laws to shove it, you CAN change in-laws.

Rev, nice to see you posting, been busy? To go along with the 1/2 wrench you could get a small cordless drill with the socket adapter, might come in handy no?

At one time you needed a 9/16 to adjust your slack adjusters, My new truck and trailer slacks are 3/8 inch.

...And Haldex slacks are 7/16.

So why do we need all these 9/16 wrenches again????
