You have to have benefit of the doubt whenever someone tells you something regarding certain company, I can tell you for CERTAIN that friend of mine who has 2 trucks with them doesnt do 5000 miles every week and i can also tell you that he has problems getting quality people who will run his truck, he changed about 4 different individuals in about 8 months since he leased that other vehicle to them. good thing about them is that 100% of your haul is drop and hook and avarage weight of your load is about 20,000.....and also the guy i was talking about in the first place runs ground and pulls doubles but he does it single, if you want i can maybe hook you up with him and you can ask him directly..?

not all are teams, i run solo. 2610 miles per week dedicated run. homw sun and mon. home on wed morn and fri morn for 18 hours. i do not also know why that bonehead would pay 2 drivers in a team operation 39 cents a piece, he must not be very business minded. i love my job at fed ex ground linehaul, but i am sure others can tell you why i should hate it, so this is all i will say in this open forum, want any more info, pm me.

I think he is talking about splitting the .39 between the 2.

Not sure what hub you would be working out of, so you may want to research what type of runs they offer before you sign on. You can make more money elsewhere, but I can tell you from past experience running with ground is pretty stress free and when I was ta driver there we were always moving.

Not true, you can run local (provided the hub you sign on with isn't overloaded with local trucks)

I have yet to see a single fedex ground truck with Qualcomm. Its some kind of a computerized system thats alot like QC or it, not 100% sure but i know that a friend of mine has blowed all of his safety bonuses for the past 2 years as they knew exacly what speed he was going getting thru certain states, he never got a citation or anything like it and he told me that for 5mph over the posted speed limit you will loose your bonus. Fedex will also fire you on the spot if any kind of misshap occured with the equipment you are driving ( trailes ) regardless of what and how big that was and regardless of your senority, they will not give you a second chance. They have gotten full of themselves recently as i have chatted with their local guys as well and they tell me that they are looking for the needle in a haystack just to find a reason to talk to u about and maybe go further as well..

Local work is available as i reported earlier in the post but for what miles and for what money?

I am not saying at all that Fedex is a bad place to work in i just think that you can make the same money elsewhere and pay regular fuel price being by yourself and working on yourown schedule...

thanks for all the help guys. I would run out of the Henderson Colorado hub don't think it will be a problem getting mileage they made a recent change, if there are no loads heading out of our hub within a certain time they will have you pull emptys to another hub and grab a load out of there.

there is no gps tracking that I know of but will ask my buddy, he has had cars follow him for awhile and he was sure they were checking his speed.

there is absolutly nothing in the trucks to monitor a driver... i know i drive one every day. they do however have an outside company out in cars that will follow you for a few miles and do a report. this is what i mean about people talking out there ass without the proper knowledge.
