Default you want to go 68 per hr there trying to force this issue

all the big company's are at it again. They have a device to put into big trucks that would make big trucks go 68 miles per hr.
They want to make this law.

What a mess that would be!

We have till 3/28/07. Too put our input to the department of transportation.

I talking to those driver who also work for these big company's cuz one day you might want to work somewhere else. A better company that allows you to go faster and possible you may want to get your own big truck.
My opinion is big company's want no competition
Big company are greedy.
Please email the dept of transportation and let them know what a mess that could be.
Tell them about Ohio raising the toll speed limit and how fatality accidents have gone 60 % down since they up the speed limit from 55miles per hr to 65 miles per hr.

Split speed limits do not work and are very dangerous

Actually, normally, i drive 65mph, but that's my choice, and I'd hate to drive all the time, at my max, and no reserve.

Feel sorry for guys who do, accelerator is the same tool for me, as steering and brakes, so restricting acceleration, is the same as restricting those two, in my book!

I just switched from an 05 Volvo to a 06 T800 KW, Governor is set at 74 mph on the speedometer. I have a laptop with Delorme Streets and Atlas that puts 74 mph on the speedometer at 70 mph by GPS. I thought this was interesting and got to looking at all the radar readouts that are on the side of the road. Sure enough, I usually am running about 68 when I go through them, verifying my GPS.

SO ... my question is, will the new regulation, if it comes into effect actually set the governor at 68 per your vehicle, or 68 mph, actual speed?

When I talked to the mechanic about it, he said that the difference was probably due to the tires being slightly smaller in circumference than the original equipment ones.

YES that is their intention 68 MPH MAX for everyone.

I have already wrote my opinion in on this, I suggest you do the same.

For those of you who think its OK that way, thats fine write a letter of oppsion in anyway, just REMEMBER this is just another FREEDOM being taken away by the government, wether you feel it right or wrong, we should NEVER surrender our hard fought FREEDOM to ANYONE!!!!

And also remember, speed limiters today, who know what FREEDOM they will want to take away next?????

It's a 'freedom' [sic] to go faster than 68mph? Do you mean to type "Going faster than 68mph is a right."?

Yes, it is a "right", but when you have no rights, you got no freedom!

GMAN tried to convince me that driving is a right, and he was unsuccessful. Maybe you can do better. Point to the class in the Bill of Rights where driving faster than 68 mph is a right.

We'll be waiting! :P

It's no memory to me, but if you want to selectively use that as your position, go ahead. But the next time you try to use any other Amendment in your defense, I'll be sure to quote you!

Now rights are God given? Whoa. Learn something new everyday I guess.
