Where can I locate the laws, or who could advise me on the law for carriers disclosing the freight rate to the o/o?
We haul freight for Target stores and are leased on with a carrier. I would like to know what Target is paying, or what the carrier is charging to haul this freight. Toay when I questioned the terminal manager on this subject an he advised me hat is was none of my business. I thought at one time I rea a law where the carrier was to dislose the freight rates. Thanks Neckster.

Have you asked the shipper? Are you paid mileage or percentage? If you are paid mileage it doesn't matter what the carrier is paid. You will be paid the same with mileage. If you are paid mileage the carrier has no legal obligation to give you that information. Percentage is different.

Who are you leased to? My guess...werner?If you have an operating agreement based on mileage, they aren't going to tell you the rates.
If you think CRE is getting close to the 89cpm they pay o/o's, you are very wrong. Reefer freight pays more than $1.50/mi generally. I know this has nothing to do with Target, but it describes my feelings on flat rate pay.
