Suttles was going to "break-away" from Dana and go it "Solo" again

Well, James Suttles is retired, although he is the $$$$ behind "New River Trucking LLC" , which was started by the ex-terminal manager of Dana Nitro WV

He also owns Southern tank leasing, but has absolutley NO shares of Suttles it's all Dana now.

When the "big" changes come the Suttles drivers will feel it the most, mainly because the Demopolis central dispatch system will be gone, along with all of their buddies there.

As far as LTC, I've done a few loads, nothing to brag about, but work is work.

Time will tell.

Schneider and Superior are now renting space and washing at Dana, along with 5 or 6 other local NJ tank outfits, pretty funny if you ask me, just about EVERY tank outfit in Jersey is dependent on Dana....the guys got everyone covered........

Interesting info on the guy behind New River. I have talked with a couple of the X-Miller O/O's that signed on when New River started...don't know if they are still there.

The guy at the Suttles Tank Wash there on Hiway43 north of Mobile was pretty certain that Suttle was going stand-alone again. He is the only guy I have talke with in yer orginization who ever told me that..but except for you guy's, I haven't had that much contact personally with D-s-LTC guy's. That is the only time in the last year I have washed at a Dana-Suttles facility.

I have been leasd on with Dana/Suttles since March 10 under the Suttles name. I was recently stuck in LaPorte for THREE DAYS trying to get a load out. What happened there to get things messed up Maniac? Can you PM me?

I have been hearing rumors in several terminals that the Suttles name will be gone after June and lots of the Demopolis staff will be history. It seems only logical. I also have heard from several people that there is some dispute going on between Dana and the former owners of LTC and that since Dana has not paid all of the money yet, who knows what might happen. But if I had to bet, I would say all three will be combined into one operation and that Suttles and LTC will be gone soon. I dont say that because it would be better for drivers, but because the money men will like that as they always think bigger is better.

What happened in LaPorte to mess things up?????? Inquiring minds want to know!

Better question is how are you doing since going to Suttles?

The thing in LaPorte is the same as it is everywhere I think,LTC drivers seem to have their own loads and their own dispatchers and we (Suttles and Dana) don't have a chance to get any of their loads even if one of our drivers was there first and is waiting,I would hope that a central dispatch thing would eliminate most of that, but like I said earlier I am always careful what I wish for.

Well . . . . . That is hard to say. I am still learning "the system" at Dana/Suttles so I don't want to be premature, but things could be better.

I was recently stuck in LaPorte for THREE DAYS trying to get a load out.

I just missed you there, I saw your name on the list, but they said you had gone to Jersey. I ended up there for 4 days, won't be going back anytime soon either.

I think they had some problems p****sing the customers off, late pickups and deliveries etc, thats why Jim Dana is down there, trying to get it strait.

The LTC name has to stay for 3 more years, for a total of 5.

Dana has not paid all of the money yet,

Yes, it's all his.

but ya there equipment looks pretty old ..

Old ain't the word for Langers stuff, some of those R model Macks have 4 or 5 million miles on them.

I have a few friends there, and they seem to like it alright, long hours though.
