Well....I've been siting 2 & 1/2 weeks so far, waiting for a load. Had the truck in the shop for the first week, but could have pulled it anytime if there had been a load.
Might have a load to Oregon tomorrow that pay's dedicated..will see later today.

or is it as dead as Miller is

Don't know anything thats going on down there, kind of slow in Jersey right now, not enough trailers to go around.

The company is BIG into trailer leasing (easy money) my opinion is they would rather lease trailers than transport chemicals.

Remember IF there is a recesion, chemicals get hit first, seems like I can see those signs now.

I was wondering why is chemicals hit first? Also what is the chemicals used for?

Are things really that slow in the Tanker Biz?

hope this is not a dumb question

Chemicals are used for everything in life. It doesn't matter what is being purchased, some form of a chemical was used to get it to market. Food products use chemicals that are "organic' in nature, while everything from the make-up your better half wears to the fuel used to power a car or truck, uses "petroleum" based chemicals.

When products are not selling, then they are not manufactured. When the decision is made to stop manufacturing, the first thing stopped is the supply chain...which means slowing or stopping the chemical chain.

Simple enough??

I'm off to Oregon with a chemical that is used to make floor dry.

Sorry I am late with a response, but after sitting in NJ for a day and a half, I haven't stopped. Currently in Jville to load in the morning and head to the Buckeye. It has to be better tomorrow than it was Friday night and Saturday.

I haven't heard anything concerning Laporte. We had several loads last week going from Nitro to Pasadena, TX and one or two to Laporte delivering today.

Sorry I can not offer more help.
