A blog is perfect for Steve, because that's basically what he's already doing here. However, with his own site he could control access and even moderate any outside comments himself. I just started my blog this week and still have a lot to learn, but iWeb makes it fun and easy.
I do need to get a digital camera with decent video so I can post pics and video of my travels though. I think I'm going to go with a Canon, because I've had good luck with their products in the past and their cost/performance ratio is hard to beat. However, I am tempted by the Nikons with integrated WiFi, but you pay dearly for them.

Rev gets my vote for court jester. EDIT: Upon further review , and under the circumstances, that statement is too volatile therfore I retract.

There are actually a lot more of us here who would really enjoy simply reading Steve's daily entries and looking at his pictures without all the negative comments and drama than there are asshats who feel the need degrade, harass and cause it! Blogs by their very definition are perfect for what Steve has been doing. The point I made in my previous post is that the creator of the blog decides who has access and how much, if any, input they'll allow those with access to have. It's not necessarily about vanity, but rather sharing. Besides, if he ever needs/wants a different 'point of view', these boards are always here for him. :x For future reference: Be sure brain is in gear, before engaging mouth!
