I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Freightliner. It's a 2000 with a 9spd and a small Cummins engine. Reliable as heck so far and 710k on the clock. picked it up (without the boxes) for 24k here in Sacramento. I can't say a sinlge bad thing about my truck, when I purchased it I opted out on an inspection and warranty because I felt comfortable with the truck as is after taking my test drive. It gets 6mpg as an average for me running local w/ the trailer if your wondering about fuel milage.
As far as the truck you are looking at, it is an older truck but the milage isn't bad at all - wouldn't hurt to take it for a drive yourself and see how she does, and if you are unsure of your judgment you can always get an inspection/dyno/warranty to cover your butt.
