Forgot about the "Country Bunker" part.
When you pull into the IOWA80 I was on the left side all the way down 2nd row with my tractor facing out. Got my hat too!!!
I called the person I'm delivering to yesterday and noticed I knew the area code on his number. I asked him about it and come to find out he lived on the same street as I did years ago. Small world.
I'm in CA right now getting ready to head out early to the customer site. They spoke to the Monks and I'm being allowed to pull in as early as I want. I promised I would be as quiet as a church mouse.
It was 115 yesterday. I had Idle Air hooked up plus ran my truck at the same time. I met the people next to me and they were also doing the same PLUS, running an APU with an A/C. I came back to my truck at one point and had to use my shirt to open the door. My door handle is chrome and was red hot.
I'm delivering this morning and that should take about 15 minutes then heading to Bakersfield for the rest of the day.
I had my truck posted for Wed and got a call from a broker about a load back to NJ. When I got his packet I looked him up and no trace what's so ever of his MC number on the FMCSA site or any other place else. No trace of his company name on the WEB or any load board. I called him back and turned it down and he was saying left and right that he has this document and that, that he could fax to me. I finally had to say NOOOO and hang up. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I turned off my phone and now he's sending me faxes how I accepted a load and turned it down.
Next thing I get a phone call from one of my load boards. He tried to put a mark on my rating but he couldn't produce a signed contract which I never did sign. They just wanted to let me know he was trying but no success. They couldn't find his MC number either.
