Default Coil rack needed

Do you of any places that sell coil racks for rolled steel, or are they mostly fabbed up by the carriers?

Thanks

Try the dealerships. International here in Portland can get them for you, I've asked before.

Some of the truck stops sell them. You can also get them at Truckpro, if you have one in your area. You may also check with some truck dealers in your area. I have seen them on occasion at a couple of dealers. They may have the steel part, but you may need to go to Home Depot, Lowes, etc., for the wood. Most any lumber yard or hardware can sell those to you. They can cut the wood to size for you. I would recommend getting 4 x 4's and having them cut in 4' or 5' lengths. You may also want to have a 45 degree cut made on one corner to better hold the coil. You may also want to get some rubber belting. The belting is used to protect the coil and hold it in place a little better. I have seen those at Truckpro before.

How are these coil racks adjusted for different diameter coils? Seems like you'd need several different racks to match the coil size? Or do you shim with 4X4's?

You only need one size coil rack.

But the coils are different sizes right? And the coil racks come in different sizes? Why?

Help me out here, G man. Don't make me beg.
