How to renew Class A Permit {DOT Physical}
I have a very simple question..I live in NY and want to renew my CLP..My Permit expired 3/06/18 My DOT physical was done Sept last year which means it is still good for another year..Do I need to bring a newer DOT physical to renew my permit?
I was at the dmv on Friday for something not related. I asked the guy at the counter about renewing my permit and told him when it expired he said I can still renew it just bring your permit and DOT exam...I forgot to ask if i need to retake my physical.. I tried to google this but found nothing..please let me know thanks in advance!

You shouldn't have to, you may just have to pay the fees for the permit or complete the tests (and pay the fees). As long as they have your medical card / longform on file, you should be OK.

Thanks man i asked the guy specifically if i had to retake the exam and he said no..so hopefully all is good because i want to start trucking school asap

NY is all about the money, just go down (with DOT med card/form) and pay the fee and your on the way!
