Please list your experience with recruiters.
I am just beginning the process. A friend who just changed jobs a few times has had zero match on promises made. One recruiter when I asked about home time said “Why dose everybody want to go home and spent time with mommy” My guess he was being honest and I would be lucky to be home.

1. Have some idea what the industry does..
2. Have some idea what you want 3. Have some idea of what to ask more than "How fast do the trucks run?", "When can I get benefits for my girlfriend and her 9 kids?", "Can i bring my guns". 4. Bring something to the table.. (don't be a complete disaster financially, criminally or personally. You're looking for a job, not someone to raise you.

Your ring decoder for deciphering recruiter speak is simple, everything is pure BS. EVERYTHING. Their job is to sugarcoat and play the job up to get drivers in the seat. You might, MIGHT, find one every now and again who has an honest streak. Rare.
Here is what I was told, "This position requires you to stay in the truck for your 5 days on, you must also bring the truck and trailer back to the yard daily to park." .................... |
