I wonder (but don't really care) who compiled that list. I see quite a few names on there that don't impress me at all and many that are constantly looking for drivers and offering bonuses even to students. That kind of advertising means that their constantly short handed, could that be because they suck?
Do yourself a favor and do you own investigating, it's fine to ask for opinions but don't take anyone's word on who is a good or bad company. Get several opinions and ask for FACTS

Hope this list is in random order.......if not.......a few are WAY too high to be a "Top" company! You also have some listed twice.......
I could be wrong, but I swore a few years back Abilene get bought into by US Xpress. Same with Total Trans of Mississippi, owned by US XpressMusic too yet is on this list..........surprised CR England isn't on here as a top company! Waste Management? They are not the typical trucking company for OTR. They are trash trucks, a huge difference!

Waste Management run tractor trailers between landfill and city collection sites. Those guys actually make good money, home daily, hourly pay, i see about 12 trucks of theirs a day. too bad they have cameras in the trucks and watch you. If they catch you touching your phone or talking on a headset, you are fired. Same for smoking.
IDK who came up with this list. It's probably made up or a source would be quoted.

Ah, not around here One. They hire out, much cheaper! Those rules are the same for their regular trash truck guys too. Stupid rule on the headset, but that's just me! My dad used to be with what was BFI which is now Republic Waste. He drove everything for them out of his home base. Money was good but he was too quick, he had the largest routes for any of the trucks, semis, front end, rear, hazmat.
