Well, it's not that simple... Yes, i agree, no shipper pays less, but when it comes to the truck... I'm not arguing the point of the "LP deals", just making a comment...

I'm glad you concur Solo, now look at the rate the LP has to make that run at 50% of that if he's lucky. Unless you commit to starting a trucking venture with an authority your doomed to fail or make mere pennies on the mile. I'll take my 60K+ annually as a company driver AND take my vacation. Back to the topic at hand, SWIFT, I seriously doubt that there is a single swift driver that has a gross income of 60K+ unless he's doing LTL in NYC, Philly, or Baltimore

Some people can be happy just about anywhere. A truck to live in and money to eat is enough for many. I would recommend not only looking at the big outfits that train, but research what companies are headquartered in your general area and/or have a lot of freight in your area so you have a better chance at getting home. IDK how swift operates compared to other bottom feeder slime ball outfits, but the goal should be to not go to one of those in the 1st place. I know R+L trains and they have a variety of trucking opportunities that are not limited to OTR driving.
