Curiosity has dwelled upon me
Well first off, I am turning 25 years old in November. It's about that time to look for a career. I'm single with a girlfriend, cat, dog, and a lovely drift car. No kids.
Monday, I got fired from my job for "insubordination" but I firmly believe it was because I called osha. I got fired because I parked my vehicle out front along with every other employee.... He asked if I wanted to argue about it, I simply said no, but why am I the only person that has to park out back? He sent me home and said I'm done....... Nothing I the company policy says I have to park out back, I never signed anything, no written warning, no verbal warning, nothing. So kinda blows but onto the next I guess lol.
Anywho, a little background about me. I have had numerous jobs and numbers traffic violations DUE TO MY VEHICLE attracting attention, not my driving.
Jobs:
08 Home Depot - laid off
08-09 (year and couple months) - old navy - quit after Black Friday
09-10 - casino - fired for trying to do another persons job cause they weren't doing it
10-11 - casino fired for falsifying documentation because I didn't want to get into trouble. It was totally my fault and I regret EVERYTHING. I was a stupid young buck atm.
11-14 - bell trans (taxi fleet) - suspended and quit - found grandmother had cancer so I called her and didn't work..... Got suspended for not working so I walked away. They did want me back though
14-now - wrapping company. Fired - Recently listed above.
Driving record:
I have COUNTLESS citations. I drove a mazda miata that had a loud exhaust.... Yeah sports car; no bueno.... However, I pulled my 3-year mvr for nevada for the Air Force and only 2 tickets popped up a couple years ago. *shocked*
No accidents
Criminal charges:
Warrant for unpaid tickets.... Went to go in and pay them off; arrested 2 days in jail. Misdemeanor.
That's it.
I know I'm throwing it out there, but I want the god honest truth about my possibilities. I can't join the military due to a medical problem at 2 weeks old (completely fixed now) and I don't have funds for school. So I'm kind of left with no choice; however, it's always a career I have thought about when I'm single.
So, let's hear what you guys have to say. My best friend that past away; his dad has worked for swift for ages now. I know they have the $3900 program 13wk/26wk thing. I have heard the pros and cons but my credit is and the low end of things (if this matters for school loan) and I'm still exploring my options. I have no trucking experience and I'm just trying to get my foot in the door right now.
