Never drove for May but if it's like other companies then they'll have you do a quick walk around showing that you really do know what to look for on a pretrip then you'l drive around the block or so. I've been on both sides of these test and really there's nothing to be worried about. What I looked for was safety and control, in other words does the new driver keep the truck centered in the lane, can he find a gear, is it the right gear (xtra points if it is
)? I would much rather have the newb swing wide on turn rather than cut it to close (a possible sign of overconfidence) .
