Default Can NJDMV remove "L" from CDL?

Once u get your CDL, is it possible for New Jersey DMV to remove the Air Brake "L" endorsement, especially without your knowledge? Stuck in Mississippi Weigh Station and cop had to give sthg so he gave "L" & wasted so much time that he gave another violation for exceeding the driving time. Please advise as of what to do now? Thanks.

The first thing that I would do is call the NJ DMV and ask them.

L is an air brake restriction, meaning you never took or passed the air brake test..

You can also downgrade your CDL at any time if you would like to drop to a lower class or remove an endorsement. Most commercial drivers will need to obtain at least one endorsement.
