veteran 88m(truck driver)needs help finding local work
Hello fellow drivers. I have been reading this forum for sometime and have learned alot. I just recently left the army after 8 years. My last 2 years was as a truck driver. Operating nearly every truck the army has. Well i currently hold a class A cdl with tanker and am waiting on background check for hazmat.
My question is i just moved to charlotte NC and am trying to find local work i can make a career out of or get my foot in the door. I ran out of ideas so can anyone here help with some suggestions? Thank you for all and any help

If memory serves correctly, US Xpress has the Target account in Newton. I'm not sure if they're home daily or not. Also, Epes has Family Dollar in Matthews, which is home weekly. As for true daycab stuff, I'm not sure. I know that Averitt Express has a yard on Westinghouse Blvd, but I don't know if they're hiring. Just keep your eyes open. A lot of companies will advertise with a banner at their local yards whenever they're hiring.
