Just wondering if there are places you can go to practice shifting on semis?? I'm in Connecticut...

The truck school I went to was run by a trucking company. They sent me out with one of their drivers to learn to shift the tractor.
I had never in my life driven any vehicle that had a shift. After about 1 hour with the driver trainer I was shifting like a pro.
I had no trouble with the double-clutch transmission because I had no experience with a shift before.

Other than that I really don't know how you can practice shifting..... if you have a truck to use -drive out on some deserted stretch of road
and practice there.
