Hello, I would like to become a truck-driver baddly...However, in 2011 I received 3 moving violation tickets, and in 2012 I've received 2 moving violation tickets..
I've never been in a auto-accident, nor have I ever had my license suspended... I have pretty good work history. Been working since 2005 within 3 different companies. But I do not have any CDL or truck driving experience... So my question is, with this resume of mine... Do you think I can get a job with a truck driving company? With a CDL class A license? The last time I received a ticket was April 2012..fyi. I also live in Illinois..

Most companies won't allow more than 2-3 moving violations within the last 3 years. You didn't mention the offenses, but the severity will be considered. Most carriers will look at your record as an accident waiting to happen. If you can keep your record clean for the next three years, you may find a carrier that will hire you. It will be next to impossible to find an insurance company that will hire you with 5 moving violations in a year. If you get your record cleaned up and get with a carrier, you will have a very short career if you start getting tickets.

5 moving violations in 3 years? Are you an idiot or flat out stupid? I've had my drivers license for 30 years, with the last 12 as a CDL holder. I have received a total of 2 tickets in those 30 years, with 1 of them being a moving violation, and that was 29 years ago.
