Countless drivers too a pay cut when the economy tanked and many of them havens't seen the "cut" come back.

Is McDonalds or Wendys hiring in your area. Two 8 hours shifts will pay you MORE than the average truck driver earns and you'll sleep in your own bed.

During your absence, we have had more regulations thrust upon us and it isn't getting better. Pay is about what it was a few years ago. There is still opportunity to do well. You can still earn a very good living. If you do your job well, you can have a high level of job security.
