I'm excited. I have loved trucks all my life. Just turned 53 (female). Passed my CDL A written tests and am starting at a trucking school yard on Monday!
Came to this in kind of an odd way. I work at a horse farm up the street from me in the afternoons, and my dear boss has a horse van ( straight, moving van- like ). She would like help with driving sometimes. I thought I would just go for a B ... But when I read the manual, I figured, why not go for an A ... Figuring if I need to get back to work full time this would be useful. And why not have a job with 2 things you love (beside your family of course). My boss has a friend who does our long/large load shipping, so I'm thinking maybe I can help him too, possibly.
Anyway, I'm really excited to get going ...
