Went to a trucking school that trained me the wrong way I was told this and explained way by a schineder driving trainer and I was let go is there any program that will help me go back to school or a company that I can explain my situation and I can go through there school or any owner operates where I live that can help me when they have free time trying to find work
Sorry for not explaining myself better well it was the shifting in school I drove a volvo and in orientation it was a freightliner the shifter in the volvo was smooth and in the freightliner it was stiff I was grinding more in the freightliner I just need more time so I can build more confidence I don't believe that this job isn't for everyone or life style Last edited by smc1185; 07-22-2012 at 05:26 PM.

Blaming it on the school>some folks just aren't cut out to be a truck driver. Don't be embarassed>some just can't get both of their feet working @ the same time or what ever your issue may be. There's lots more to do in life than drive a truck>find a construction related skilled trade and move on.

shifting!!!! im going on a limb here and think i can get some back up. as your a new driver shifting is something you will learn and relearn as every truck is a little tigher or looser, you have 8,9,10,13,15,18,supers all diferent trans. i dont think the school did you wrong. i think the schineder driving trainer is nothing more then a over glorafied steering whell holder. dont go so hard on yourself and remeber the person in the other seat starter in the same seat your in now!!

Check out Knight Transportation in Carlisle PA (between the Flying J and the Petro). They might be the easiest. I am sure Swift has a terminal out there, but I don't know where.
