It's not a refresher course. It's their regular shorter 40 hour one.

This is correct. I went to Roehl truck school with absolutely no experience of any kind with a shift. I was sent out with an experienced driver and within an hour I was shifting like a pro. Never had any problems learning to shift. So, no experience with shifting is definitely a plus. No bad habits, nothing to 're-learn'.

Thanks!... I think I'm just mostly misunderstood.

Back in the old days of CAD...
I use to teach new drivers how to master any transmission, with a tutorial on my profile page.
People quickly learned and felt complete confidence, within just 30 short minutes... and it was free!

A couple of the administrators here, took some of my classes, and decided I was just teaching fetishes....
so they put the kibosh on that.
