Default Anyone worked for US Xpress?

So my question is simple.. Has anyone worked for US Xpress, and has anything good, or bad to say about them?

AGree, but also agree with Orange...Theres lots of info out there about USX so search and enjoy. From what i know of, USX and Covenant like to hire nubs off the street, stick em in a team 'trainer' truck, run the truck as a team for cheap for as long as they can, then run off the drivers. Thres lots of profit in using a newbie as a second logbook...I believe they even get federal subsidies for training a nub- but no provision for having to keep a driver for a certain amount of time in exchange for the federal taxpayer cash... If all you do is search on the internet for any company, the majority of things you will find are negative. People love to post negative stuff on the net, but very rarely take the time to post positive things. As far as USX. I have been hiring for them for a long time. Ive put drivers on there who are really happy there, I have put drivers on who hated it ( the same thing can be said for all 20 companies I hire for). What I personally like about USX. They have some pretty good regionals if you live in the right area. They tend to be getting pretty good miles right now compared to a lot of the companies I hire for. It seems they have worked hard recently to move from a "newbie" hire company, to an company that wants more experienced drivers. What I dont like about USX. I dont like that floating payscale thing too much.

I worked for USXpress years ago and have considered giving them a call since. The only thing that stops me is the hell I went through with my last truck with them and the shop foreman telling (no - arguing with me) that I, as the driver, didn't have the right to red tag a truck that was unsafe to drive. The problem with that truck was that it had an electrical problem that caused the entire truck to lose all electrical power while driving, meaning no engine, lights of any kind, cb, etc. Even when I got the corporate office involved to get me into a different truck, they completely ignored that and dispatched me on a load into New Jersey (I was set to go after a new tractor the following morning).

So, I rented a car and came home.

While there, I made good money and had decent miles, but they had major issues with having a preplan on me before I'd deliver my load. There's nothing funner than trying to find a place to park at 1am in New Jersey, then as soon as you do locate one, you get dispatched the opposite direction you just came from.
