Default Be careful..

Be careful out there, i came across two accidents on I-77 Southbound. One was at mm10 in WV. Two big trucks hit each other. One was a flatbed the other dry van. The second one was in va I-77 southbound, a 4wheeler hit his brakes , causing the big truck to hit him. I seen the car it was a mess. They towed the big truck to the loves at mm 1. Man, this is my first winter driving! Every Time i come across a accident, my heart goes out to all those involve. Just wanted to say be safe out there.

I'm in Canada now, just outside of London, ON. Came across the 401 last night and lost count of how many cars were in the median and shoulder (all abandoned). There were also 3 rigs in the median. All 3 were upright and in a straight line, but buried nonetheless.

It's almost certain that the lack of space caused the truck to hit the car... not the car hitting his brakes..When the weather goes to hell... start giving a LOT of extra space.. let the other guys go in the ditch.

Be safe out there!

We had 5 big trucks get tangled up in Syracuse last week with 2 drivers dead (I heard) The wreckage sat just off to the side of I90 at xt 39 for a week before getting cleaned up cause of the weather. You see that every day and it's a good reminder to slow down and leave more space. now if only the four wheelers would do the same

Man Mal, that 401 is back open? I had read where it was a mess up near Detroit with many stranded vehicles and many people who refused to leave them.

The 401 had a couple of temporary closures due to wrecks, but those were hit & miss. The 402, which runs from London to Sarnia is what was closed. They reopened parts of it today. I heard there were over 300 drivers (trucks & cars) stranded and had to be rescued.

First rule of winter driving... DRIVE LIKE YOU HAVE NO BRAKES.
Second rule, no sudden moves with the throttle, the wheel, or the brakes.

And, if you're driving like you have no brakes, you'll leave a great deal of room in front of you so you can coast to a stop.

I agree 100%.........................it's really hard for folks to occupy the same space at the same.
