Good Information for New (and old) Drivers
#1
For all you new drivers, and for some of us that have been at this game for quite a while, there is a wealth of good information for your use at
Ol'Blue, USA - Ask The Law ™ There are a lot of audio clips where drivers are asking questions of law enforcement people and there are a number of good streaming videos.... one I highly recommend is the video on steer tire blowouts. A lot of questions that you may have regarding finer points of driver logs and other Federal Motor Carrier regs are answered in the various clips. If you are serious about doing this occupation, you need to look over this information.

The closest I've ever come to getting killed in a tractor-trailer was having a front-steer blowout on I-10 East bound doing about 75-80 mph in the early 1980's..............lucky no traffic around Kerrville, TX at 3:30 AM that morning.
Remember it like it was yesterday, absolutely no control at all......period.............shaking like a leaf after I realized we were OK. Thanks for the heads-up.......

Dang, I thought maybe you were worm food or something. :lol:Where have you been hiding all this time? Come on.... give us ( me ) an up-date. Still driving? Still in Fl.? I swear Josh, I feel like I just ran into an old friend that I haven't seen in a few years. Lots of new faces and changes here now but some of us "old timers" are still around. Jeff
